April 2014 – August 2017
We will be at the AuthorCon UK fair at the MadLab in Manchester on April 26th. The winners of the Wishing Shelf Independent Book Awards will be announced there, and Bookworm and Arteess: Conflict are both finalists in separate categories. We will be selling copies of all of our titles, and some of our authors have promised to drop in to sign copies of their books. Apparently, anyone who buys an advance ticket from the AuthorCon UK website will get a goody bag with all sorts of stuff in it. There’s a raffle too. It should be a fun day, so do come along and say hello.
We will be at Mancunicon, this year’s Eastercon in Manchester. It’s in the Hilton Manchester Deansgate hotel, and over the weekend we’re holding two book launches in the Presidential Suite on the 22nd floor – our great new anthology Existence is Elsewhen on Saturday evening and Peter R. Ellis’ Unity of Seven on Sunday afternoon. Come and join us for a drink at the launch parties, and say hello if you see us around and about (we’ll be wearing our Elsewhen Press t-shirts!)
Also look out for our authors, no fewer than twelve will be at Mancunicon: Alison Buck, J.A. Christy, Peter R. Ellis, Rebecca Hall, Edwin Hayward, Andy McKell, Siobhan McVeigh, Christopher Nuttall, Susan Oke, James Starling, Zoë Sumra, Tej Turner, Dave Weaver. Catch some of them at panels too…
Tej Turner:
Friday 19:00, Diversity in UK SF: Why are we lagging?
Saturday 16:00, Anime
Saturday 20:30, Queering Heroic Fantasy
Monday 13:00, Sense8
Peter R. Ellis:
Saturday 13:00, Balancing the Creative Life
Zoë Sumra
Sunday 17:30, Historical Fiction and Fanfiction

At this year’s Eastercon in Manchester, we will be launching the paperback edition of Unity of Seven, the third volume in Peter R. Ellis’ thrilling fantasy series, Evil Above the Stars, that appeals to readers of all ages, especially fans of JRR Tolkien and Stephen Donaldson. Come and join us at the launch party in the Presidential Suite on the 22nd floor of the Hilton Manchester Deansgate, with a spectacular view over Manchester.
This year’s Nine Worlds Geekfest (12th-14th August) will, for the first time, include an Expo – which has been dubbed the Geekfayre. We will be there on a table with our books. More details to follow as soon as we know them.
We’re also very proud to be an official sponsor of Nine Worlds 2016.
So, if you’re going to Nine Worlds anyway, come into the Geekfayre, say hello, have a browse and buy a book or two
We look forward to seeing you there.
We will be back at Nine Worlds Geekfest again this year (4-6th August). The vendors will be inside the convention, not in a separate Expo like last year, so we should be easy to find. Come and say hello, have a browse, buy some books. We will have some new books that will be on sale for the first time at Nine Worlds, and a couple that we will be launching there (on Saturday); we expect to be joined by some of our authors too – more details closer to the day. Hope to see you there too.
Oh, and did we mention that we’re Gold Sponsor for Nine Worlds this year?
If you are going to Nine Worlds Geekfest this August, come along to our launch event on Saturday afternoon at 5pm in Mouton Cadet.
Join Zoë Sumra, John Gribbin, and Peter R. Ellis.
John will be reading from his retrospective anthology of short stories Don’t Look Back.
Then Peter R. Ellis (whose latest book Cold Fire, a September Weekes novel, will be out in eBook on 4th August) will interview them both. There should be time for a few questions from the audience too! There will be refreshments available of course, and copies of the books to buy – they’ll even sign them if you like

It’s in the online programme (as Elsewhen Press presents) so be sure to add it into your personal Grenadine schedule. We’re looking forward to seeing you there.
